Worldwide Ceremonies | Vé Collective

Last updated: 2 November 2026

1. Welcome to Worldwide Ceremonies

Worldwide Ceremonies creates and delivers personal wedding ceremonies and meaningful celebrations in Iceland and internationally.

Our work is rooted in the belief that a ceremony should reflect the people at its heart — their story, their values, and the meaning they wish to give to an important moment in their lives.

These Terms & Conditions explain how our services, enquiries, bookings, payments, and cancellations are handled.

Worldwide Ceremonies is operated by Vé Collective, Iceland.

2. Our Services

We offer three principal wedding ceremony experiences.

Vé Base

Our foundational ceremony service includes:

Vé Base follows an established ceremony structure, personalised primarily through the couple's story and ceremony address.

Vé Signature

Vé Signature builds upon Vé Base with a more individually designed ceremony experience.

Additional elements include:

Vé The Threshold

Vé The Threshold is an extended private ceremony experience combining Vé Signature with a two-night retreat.

It includes deeper conversations, relationship-focused preparation, and a specially designed Threshold Ritual.

Specific retreat arrangements, accommodation, travel, third-party services, and other logistical elements are defined in the individual proposal and agreement.

3. Enquiries and Availability

Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking.

All ceremony dates are subject to availability and written confirmation.

An introductory consultation may be arranged to explore the couple's wishes and determine whether our services are a suitable match.

A requested date is not reserved or guaranteed merely because an enquiry has been submitted or a consultation has taken place.

4. Proposals and Agreements

Following initial discussions, clients may receive a personalised proposal describing:

A booking becomes confirmed only when the agreed written contract has been accepted, the required booking payment has been received, and Worldwide Ceremonies has issued written confirmation.

Any different booking conditions expressly agreed in writing will take precedence where legally permitted.

5. Prices and Payments

Prices displayed on the website are indicative starting prices unless expressly stated otherwise.

The final price is confirmed in the individual proposal and may depend on location, travel, ceremony requirements, and additional services.

Our standard payment arrangement is:

The booking payment is applied towards the total agreed fee.

Payment methods, accepted currencies, invoicing details, and payment deadlines are specified in the proposal or invoice.

Any applicable taxes or mandatory charges will be identified in accordance with legal requirements.

A booking payment is not automatically non-refundable merely because it is described as a deposit or booking payment. Refunds and cancellation charges are governed by the agreement and applicable law.

6. Travel and Additional Expenses

Ceremonies may take place throughout Iceland and internationally.

Unless explicitly included in the agreed package, additional expenses may include:

Any known or reasonably foreseeable additional costs will be discussed before the agreement is finalised.

No additional charge will be imposed without an appropriate contractual basis or the client's agreement.

7. Cancellation by the Client

Clients may request cancellation at any time by contacting Worldwide Ceremonies in writing.

The financial consequences of cancellation depend on the agreed services, the work already performed, the proximity of the ceremony date, documented non-recoverable expenses, and applicable consumer protection law.

The individual booking agreement will specify any agreed cancellation charges, calculation methods, and refund arrangements.

Where applicable law provides a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation, those rights take precedence over conflicting contractual terms.

We aim to handle cancellations fairly and transparently.

8. Postponements and Changes

We understand that wedding plans sometimes change.

Requests to change a ceremony date, location, or scope of service must be made in writing.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, subject to availability and any necessary adjustments to the agreement.

Additional costs resulting from agreed changes will be communicated before they are incurred.

If a new date cannot be agreed, the cancellation provisions of the applicable agreement and mandatory law will apply.

9. Cancellation or Inability to Perform by Worldwide Ceremonies

In the unlikely event that Worldwide Ceremonies cannot provide an agreed service due to illness, an emergency, or another significant circumstance, we will notify the client as soon as reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, we may propose an alternative qualified professional or another suitable arrangement, subject to the client's acceptance.

If the agreed service cannot be delivered and no acceptable alternative is arranged, refunds and any additional legal remedies will be determined in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.

10. Weather, Safety, and Extraordinary Circumstances

Outdoor ceremonies in Iceland and elsewhere may be affected by severe weather, natural events, travel disruption, access restrictions, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the parties.

Safety takes priority over the original ceremony plan.

Where necessary, we may recommend a change of location, timing, or practical arrangements.

The parties will seek a reasonable solution together.

Any postponement, additional cost, cancellation, or refund arising from these circumstances will be handled under the individual agreement and applicable law.

11. Legal and Symbolic Ceremonies

Worldwide Ceremonies offers ceremonies that may be either legally recognised or symbolic in nature.

A symbolic ceremony does not create a legally recognised marriage.

The availability of a legally recognised marriage ceremony depends on the laws of the relevant jurisdiction, the authority of the officiant, and the satisfaction of all applicable legal requirements.

Where legal solemnisation is included in the agreed service, the specific arrangements and responsibilities will be confirmed in writing.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information and required documentation within applicable deadlines, unless otherwise agreed.

Worldwide Ceremonies does not guarantee legal recognition of a marriage where statutory requirements have not been met.

12. Personalisation and Client Participation

The quality of a personalised ceremony depends upon collaboration.

Clients agree to provide information reasonably needed to prepare the ceremony and to communicate significant changes in good time.

Worldwide Ceremonies will handle shared personal stories respectfully and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Ceremony content, revisions, and preparation timelines will follow the selected package and individual agreement.

13. Intellectual Property

Original ceremony scripts, ritual concepts, guides, written materials, and creative content developed by Worldwide Ceremonies remain the intellectual property of their respective creators, except where otherwise agreed.

Clients receive permission to use their delivered ceremony materials for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Commercial reproduction, resale, or publication of original materials requires prior written permission unless otherwise permitted by law.

14. Photography, Video, and Testimonials

Worldwide Ceremonies may request permission to use photographs, video footage, or testimonials for promotional purposes.

Such permission is voluntary and separate from the booking agreement.

We will not publicly share identifiable client stories, private ceremony materials, or photographs for promotional purposes without appropriate authorisation.

Rights belonging to photographers, videographers, and other creators must also be respected.

15. Liability

Worldwide Ceremonies undertakes to provide agreed services with reasonable professional care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.

Any additional liability provisions must be expressly stated in the individual agreement and comply with applicable law.

16. Privacy and Confidentiality

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We treat personal stories and information shared during ceremony preparation with appropriate discretion.

Confidentiality is subject to applicable legal obligations and any disclosures necessary to provide the agreed service.

17. Complaints and Disputes

If a concern arises, we encourage clients to contact us promptly so that we can seek a fair resolution.

These Terms & Conditions are intended to operate under Icelandic law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that may apply under the law of their country of residence.

Any dispute resolution arrangements will respect applicable consumer rights and jurisdictional rules.
