A two-night private retreat gives the two of you space to pause and connect before your wedding. It can take place during the week or over a weekend, with the setting agreed personally with Dagur.
Before the retreat
A Story Interview and a Meaning Interview take place beforehand. They help Dagur shape the guided work and the fully bespoke VÉ Signature wedding ceremony that follows.
During your private retreat
Guided work with Dagur is balanced with time for you alone as a couple, nature, walking and reflection. The passage culminates in a Threshold Ritual, marking the step you are taking together.
Your setting and stay
Accommodation for two nights, essential meals and wellness facilities that form part of the chosen venue are included within the agreed retreat allowance. A private cabin with sauna and hot and cold pools may be a fitting setting; exact facilities depend on the venue confirmed in your proposal.
The ceremony that follows
A fully bespoke VÉ Signature wedding ceremony brings your story and the meaning of this passage into your wedding. Timing, location, retreat inclusions and any travel arrangements are agreed with Dagur before you book.
Icelandic, English, or both
Your ceremony can be led in Icelandic, English or both at the same service price. VÉ creates and leads the ceremony; your planner or wedding team handles wider wedding logistics. International ceremonies are symbolic unless local legal authority has been confirmed.
